Healthy Families Program - A healthier tomorrow starts today!

Open Enrollment 2012

(Posted on 7/19/12)

Previously, Healthy Families allowed you to change your child’s plans once a year for any reason during Open Enrollment. New Plan Transfer Policy

This year there will not be an Open Enrollment. Some families where their current plans are no longer available on October 1st, 2012 will be sent a transfer packet by mail to choose their new plan(s).

Transfer Packet:

If any of your child’s plans are not available or your premium will be changing on October 1, 2012, you will receive a transfer packet that lists the available plans that you can choose.

When you get your transfer packet, it is very IMPORTANT that you review it because:

  • Your child’s plan is no longer available or
  • Your monthly premium has increased.

If you want to change your child’s plan because your monthly premium has increased, you must turn in your packet by August 31st. Your child’s start date with the new plan will be October 1, 2012.

If your child’s plan is no longer available, you must choose another plan. Make sure Healthy Families receives your transfer packet by August 31st. If you don’t select a new plan, Healthy Families will choose one for your child. The start date with a new plan will be October 1, 2012.
